Quilt inspired by those folks who love purple - Granny Koehl was such a person. I took a darker approach than her love of lavender and used batiks to give it the look of a stormy night.

Artist Statement
With Covid quarantines, fabric options were in short supply and time was abundant. I was going to make this quilt using blues, but when I saw the purples, I could not resist adding more punch into my midnight storm.
