Artist Statement
I have always liked the old fashioned patchwork quilts. With this in mind, I started sewing 2.5" squares together in a random fashion to make a large square of patchwork. To show it as a focus piece I bordered it with a solid blue. The back fabric was a border print I had had for a long while and it just seemed right to put happy dancing kitties down each side. It turned out to be a perfect size to take to a game, sit by the firepit and still be pretty enough to display on the couch. This was a very relaxing quilt to make. No geometry.
